Metrofall: The Last Human
Story
You are Vasily Sandrovich, the last known survivor trapped beneath the earth. When the surface world went silent — no signals, no life, only static — you descended into the metro tunnels in search of answers. All you found was death.
The game begins in chaos. You're running, breathing hard, a flickering flashlight barely keeping the dark at bay. Something is chasing you — fast, silent, and wrong. You slam through a rusted maintenance door, lock it behind you, and everything goes quiet.
The metro system is abandoned, yet far from empty.
Originally designed as a last-resort refuge for humanity, this massive underground structure was once self-sustaining: armed, powered, protected. It was built to withstand the fall of civilization. But what was meant to be a shelter has become a tomb. Experiments were done here projects meant to control evolution, merge man and machine, and prepare for a future that never came. Now, the results roam free.
You don't know what they are.
Only that they move. And watch. And wait.
Your flashlight is dim. Your supplies are limited. Every corner of the metro seems to whisper, every corridor hides something worse than the last. Metal scrapes in the distance. Shapes shift in the shadows. Doors lead to places that don’t match their blueprints. Some zones have been taken over by strange growths or broken AI systems still enforcing forgotten protocols. Others are silent — too silent.
Your only goal at first is to survive. Scavenge what you can: ammo, food, batteries, medicine. Navigate the darkness. Avoid what hunts you. And try not to lose your mind in the process.
As you explore deeper, you begin to uncover the truth:
This place was never meant to save anyone.
Audio logs, terminal entries, broken holoscreens — they all piece together the story of a final plan. A fail-safe. A nuclear device buried beneath the metro, meant to destroy it all if containment failed. No one ever expected to use it. Now, it’s the only option left.
You weren’t just a random survivor.
You were part of the original operation.
You helped build this place.
And now you’ve been sent back to finish it.
Your final mission is to reach the bomb, activate it, and erase everything. Not just the horrors that live down here — but the past, the secrets, and yourself.
You’ll face broken systems that still try to stop you. AI that sees you as a threat. Locked chambers designed never to reopen. And something else — something that remembers you, and hates you for what you left behind.
There is no escape.
There is no redemption.
Only the mission.
You are not here to survive.
You are here to end it.
